Providence Home is currently hiring a married couple to become House Parents. House parents reside in our home while on duty, and provide our youth with a nurturing and family- like atmosphere. Providence Home is a non-Profit, co-ed 6 bed home located near the ocean in beautiful Southport, NC.

Job includes but is not limited too:

• Day to day care of the kids (never more than a max of 6 youth)
• Maintaining the home and grounds
• Home cooked meals in accordance with the NC Health Dep. requirements
• Creating a family-like atmosphere allowing the youth to feel safe and cared for.
• Aiding our youth with school work, recreational and educational activities both on and off grounds
• Able to conduct emergency admissions and complete all logging forms in the home.
• Refrain from all Weapons, Alcohol, and Tobacco use while on duty

Qualifications:

• Both Spouses must be 21 or older
• Both must have a valid Driver's License
• Able to pass local and federal background checks.
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience working with underprivileged youth in group home or foster care settings is preferred
• Certified CPR/First Aid
• Maintain a min. of 24 CE credits annually
• Couples must be able to demonstrate a high degree of integrity and compassion as you will be considered a role model for our youth
• No Pets or Children on premises while on duty
• Couples must be comfortable taking our youth to different supporting local churches for service on Sundays (Proselytizing is prohibited)
