Christ Community, a multi-site, intergenerational congregation located in the Kansas City area and a member of the Evangelical Free Church of America. Communications is part of the multisite team, which is a central resource that supports and promotes the mission of Christ Community Church through the support of each campus.

Job Description

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of five years experience in facilities operations, technical arts, and/or construction
  • Able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
  • Relate and work well with church staff and lay leadership
  • Organized and attentive to details
  • Demonstrates initiative and follow through
  • Desire to learn new skills and strengthen existing skills
  • Able to communicate technical details to non-technical people
  • Familiarity with construction trade skills is desired

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, maintain, and repair infrastructure systems and buildings across campuses
  • Design and/or oversee infrastructure projects
  • Maintain church facilities and systems
  • Perform property inspections, and provide reports of condition and recommended actions as needed
  • Provide or supervise repairs to church systems
  • Liaise with vendors and provide oversight
  • Provide infrastructure assistance for events and ministries, both internal and external
  • Work schedule includes:
    • weekends and evenings
    • on-call rotations
    • travel between campuses
  • Manage and/or supervise technical coordination and requirements for church events
  • Make facility related expenditures, up to $300 without supervisory approval, within approved budget
  • Participate in the emergency call support team (accidents, overflows, etc.)
  • Participate in documenting facility and technical arts processes and procedures
  • Assist in the security of buildings and contents, including training in safety and security
  • Assist in maintaining safe and accessible conditions, as feasible, during inclement weather, including minor snow removal, and surface treatment
  • Assist in and provide training on infrastructure operations for staff and volunteer teams
  • Assist in infrastructure designs and budgeting across campuses
  • Other duties, responsibilities, and projects as determined by the Director of Infrastructure
