Job Overview

Purpose: Assist the Kids Minister and Student Pastor as they lead the kids and student ministries of Heatherwood Baptist Church.

Accountable to: Kids Minister and Student Pastor

Time Requirement: 8 weeks, 10-15 hours per week

Ministry Area: Kids Ministry & Student Ministry. (Infants – 12th Grade)

Requirements:

• Be at least 16 years old
• Christ Follower
• Must agree with the vision and purposes of HBC
• Must agree with the statement of faith for HBC
• Professional in behavior, communication, and work ethic
• Quick to adapt to unexpected changes in the workplace
• Ability to develop Christ-centered relationships with others
• Ability to communicate the Gospel and your story of salvation
• Takes initiative to solve problems

Desired Qualities:

• Have the joy of the Lord in your heart and soul that stems from an active relationship with the Lord through personal Bible study and prayer
• Have a passion for helping kids and students to grow in their relationship with Jesus
• Willing to teach and joyfully serve others

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the planning and execution of ministry events and activities
• Assist with the planning and execution of special projects that will help ministries run smoothly
• Actively participate in regular worship at HBC.
• Meet with the Kids Minister and Student Pastor weekly
• Other assignments as directed.
