New Hope Church Snapshot

New Hope Church (https://www.newhopeadel.org)is an Evangelical Free church (www.efca.org) located in the growing community of Adel, Iowa. Our mission is clear: We exist to Help People Find and Follow Jesus. As we strive to live out this mission, we hold strongly to three key values: Love (for God and others), Grow (discipleship), and Go (living our faith out loud whether locally or to other parts of the world).

New Hope Church (NHC) launched on Easter Sunday in 1999 with a core group of local families with a passion to start an evangelical church in Adel. Over the following years the church grew under the leadership of its first pastor, Tom Hein (who continues to serve on the pastoral staff). Approximately 10 years after the launch NHC purchased land and built a church campus, which added a kids wing a few years later.

In the summer of 2018 Ryan Whitson and his family relocated from Denver, CO to serve as the next Lead Pastor of NHC. In the past six years the church has experienced strong growth and spiritual fruit. Recently NHC completed a new $3 million building expansion project. The Lord has been incredibly good and faithful to New Hope Church as we passionately pursue being a life-giving church that infuses gospel clarity, boldness, and a relentless pursuit to grow in outreach and discipleship in our mission to Help People Find and Follow Jesus.
