Job Overview

The Kids Ministry Director and Hub Leader serves as a member of the Romeo Campus Staff and is under the direction and leadership of the Romeo Executive Pastor. This role exists to partner with parents to help kids discover and embrace a relationship with Jesus Christ for a lifetime and to fulfill the purpose, mission, and values of the church. This director also serves as a dotted-line leader to select other Woodside Bible Church Kids Ministry directors.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Lead Kids Ministry to instill in kids a deep love for Jesus and His church, as we equip parents to be their primary spiritual influencers 
• Recruit, coach, and retain large volunteer teams throughout the year 
• Lead Kids Ministry in line with Woodside’s established vision and strategy 

Relational:

• Develop relationships with volunteers, parents, kids, church family, and the surrounding local community 
• Provide congregational care (hospital visits/funerals/counseling/on call) for volunteers and families as needed 

Administrative:

• Oversee Kids Ministry budget 
• Manage the ongoing schedule of volunteers  
• Maintain Kids Ministry information and metrics in church database (Ministry Platform)
• Complete monthly dashboard reports as well as annual development plans 

Personal:

• Does not miss more than 3 Sundays per calendar year (for full-time directors) 
• Actively involved in a Woodside Life Group and regularly attends weekend worship gatherings 

Additional Campus Responsibilities:

• Oversee, recruit, and lead selected campus events including Flip Camp 
• Attend weekly campus staff meetings 

HUB Leader Responsibilities:

• Encourage and support Kids Ministry Directors within the Regional Hub, as they lead ministry at their respective campuses 
• Lead Directors in the Hub in Central collaboration that supports growth and health of overall Woodside Kids Ministry 
• Collaborates with Kids Ministry Hub Team by reviewing, updating, and guarding Woodside Kids Ministry DNA, establishing departmental yearly goals, identifying collaborative efforts, and addressing strategic opportunities or challenges for the ministry 
• Help design and facilitate monthly Woodside Kids Ministry Director meeting 
• Faithfully fulfill all Hub Leader rhythms, including: 
  • Monthly check-ins with Kids Ministry Directors in Romeo Hub 
  • Monthly meetings with Kids Ministry Hub team 

Spiritual Responsibilities

• Ensures that all actions performed within the context of this position accomplishes and furthers the mission, vision, and values of Woodside Bible Church (Belong, Grow, Reach) 
• Incumbent adheres to the Statement of Faith as established and approved by Woodside Bible Church 
• Incumbent is a member in good standing, participates in praying, giving, serving, worshiping and attends special events as an active member of the church
