LEAD KIDS PASTOR – SENIOR STAFF POSITION

One Sentence Job Description: To plant seeds in children so they will find and follow Jesus

Qualifications: • 3-5 years minimum of leading or working in Kids Ministry in a church setting. Preference will be given to those with experience in a large (1,000+), multi -site church. • Seminary degree is preferred, but not required. • A demonstrated, growing, and personal relationship with Jesus and a working knowledge of God's Word • Must exercise the characteristic of humility • Married candidate is strongly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities: NOTE: While the Kids Pastor is not expected to personally execute all these responsibilities and delegation is expected, the Kids Pastor remains responsible for the outcomes of each of the following:

• Champion the vision of Parkway Fellowship, per the Senior Pastor, with Kids Ministry Staff, Volunteers, & Families • Lead and inspire the Kids Ministry Staff through Godly servant leadership • Directly oversee the Kids Ministry Team at Westpark Location and indirectly oversee the Kids Ministry Team at other PF locations. Currently the Westpark Kids Ministry Team is comprised of a Kids Preschool Pastor, Elementary Pastor, Small Groups Pastor, Operations Coordinator, and Kids Ministry Administrative Assistant • Oversee the setting of specific & measurable goals for the Kids Ministry through the tracking of all number & data • Oversee the Kids Ministry Assimilation System, New Believer System, Kids Small Groups System • Oversee the personnel side of the Kids Ministry team (along with HR). This includes tracking sick & vacation days, hirings, firings, yearly evaluations, and managing the Kids Ministry Budget • Oversee the recruitment, training, and empowering of all Kids Ministry volunteers • Regularly cast vision for a Sunday morning experience for kids of all ages that strives to fulfill the mission & vision of Parkway Fellowship through effectively media, curriculum, and technology • Effectively lead all Kids Ministry Staff Meetings • Oversee all additional Kids Ministry events such as VBS, Pine Cove City, Last Bash, and Big Kid Breakfast • Oversee Kids Ministry Staff Meetings • Fulfill any additional responsibilities, projects, and assignments

About Parkway Fellowship Our church mission is, "To reach the lost at any cost and grow them to maturity." We have a vision to effectively minister to 10% of our community every week. We currently have two locations, our original location is at the apex corner of three major cities Richmond, Katy, and Fulshear, while our second location is in the heart of north Katy. The Park first opened in 2003 as a portable church meeting in a local high school. After reaching 500+ in attendance, the church had enough people and resources to acquire land and build a building in 2010. Since then, The Park has expanded its current facilities twice, opened a second location, and started an online venue. Parkway has an average weekly attendance of over 4,000 attendees with a Kids Ministry attendance averaging 675+ kids per week. Parkway Fellowship has appeared on the Top 100 Fastest Growing Churches in America by Outreach Magazine 5 times with the most recent in 2023. The Lead Kids Pastor is a position on our Senior Staff (top level staff) and reports directly to the Senior Pastor.
