About the Role
As the Lead Mobilizer, you'll be on the front lines of mission engagement, building bridges between passionate people and opportunities to serve across ABWE's global family of ministries. You'll travel, speak, connect, and guide believers, pastors, and students to step out in faith and follow God's leading.
You'll also help shape and execute our mobilization and recruitment strategies, ensuring that ABWE continues to send and support workers who are equipped, encouraged, and aligned with our vision to fulfill the Great Commission.
What You'll Do
- Engage personally with potential missionaries and invite them to consider serving through ABWE
- Build strong relationships with churches, pastors, and college leaders who share a heart for global missions
- Represent ABWE at conferences, schools, and ministry events through speaking and personal connection
- Guide individuals through the process of discerning their calling and connecting with the right ministry team
- Partner with internal departments to align recruitment, marketing, and social media efforts

- Experienced in ministry or missions, ideally with cross-cultural exposure
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies, Intercultural Studies, or a related field strongly preferred. Previous ministry or pastoral experience preferred.

Job Description
Mission/Vision: Fulfilling the Great Commission by multiplying leaders, churches, and missions movements among every people.
Job Summary/Primary Role: The Lead Mobilizer actively engages people as they explore their role in the Great Commission and connects them with opportunities within ABWE's Global Family of Ministries. This forward-facing position serves and builds relationships with individuals, churches, schools, and organizations to help them realize their vision for mission engagement. Working collaboratively within a mission-focused team, the Lead Mobilizer helps to execute recruitment strategies aligned with ABWE's vision, while serving as a passionate advocate for global missions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Engaging with leads and inviting them to consider applying to ABWE.
- Traveling to initiate and develop relationships with colleges, and their key stakeholders, for consistent partnership, and presence on college campuses.
- Building and strengthening relationships with pastors and church leaders, providing resources and encouragement to support their role in sending missionaries.
- Representing ABWE's Global Family of Ministries by engaging in public speaking at churches, conferences, colleges, and other events to generate leads and contacts.
- Maintaining an understanding of all ministry opportunities throughout the organization to effectively connect candidates with the right teams and initiatives.
- Guiding potential missionaries through the discernment process, connecting them with the mobilization team to explore next steps.
- Assisting in the execution of missionary recruitment strategies aligned with ABWE's vision and values.
- Assisting in collaboration with other departments to ensure cohesive marketing strategies, social media presence, and promotional efforts.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
Qualifications: Ability to pass background check and all necessary clearances as mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies, Intercultural Studies, or related field strongly preferred.
Minimum Prior Experience Required: Relevant supervised ministry experience required. Previously acquired cross-cultural experience highly preferred. Previous pastoral ministry preferred, with the ability to effectively preach/teach in churches.
Travel: Ability to travel extensively within the United States; occasional international travel may be necessary.

- Be able to follow all guidelines set forth in the ABWE IHQ Staff Handbook.
