Who We Are

Cockeysville Baptist Church is a small Southern Baptist Congregation that is committed to the preaching, teaching, and living out of the Word of God through the power of the Holy Spirit. We have been worshipping in the Cockeysville, MD community (located in northern Baltimore County) for over 50 years.

Now we are seeking God's provision for a new pastor committed to leading God's people and building a faithful church in our community. We want a man with a shepherd's heart to humbly lead our congregation as we lift Jesus higher and build a legacy of good works in our community.

Cockeysville, as part of the ever-growing York Road corridor in Baltimore County, is a suburban area that presents unique challenges. There are two schools within about a mile of our sanctuary with children that need to learn about the love of God. We share our building with a Hispanic congregation offering opportunities for fellowship with like-minded believers. Our area has a great many people who can be categorized as unchurched and have little knowledge of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us.

If you are a seminary graduate with at least two years of professional experience in ministry, either as a pastor or as church staff, we would like to talk with you. We consider professional experience in secular fields (like business or education) an asset as well. Our previous pastor was bi-vocational, and we anticipate that our next pastor will be bi-vocational as well. Although a small church we also offer use of a recently renovated parsonage as part of the pastor's compensation package, in addition to salary.
