CrossWay Bible Church is an elder-led, independent Bible church located in Blue Springs, Missouri, a suburban community twenty miles east of downtown Kansas City. While we are an independent Bible church, we also cultivate strong relationships with other like-minded local churches focused on proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our church has a vibrant, family friendly congregation with an average Sunday morning attendance of 90.

He will be responsible for preaching most Sunday mornings and leading and overseeing the direction and vision of the church, providing oversight for our church ministries alongside our plurality of Elders.

JOB CLASSIFICATION

• This position is a salaried, full-time position with benefits.
• This position reports to the Elder Team of CrossWay Bible Church.
• Salary is negotiable based on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve the church as an elder.
• Primary Job function to study and prepareto preach the Word to equip the saints for the work of ministry. Devoting significant time throughout the week in the study of God's Word and prayer, making personal spiritual growth a priority.
• Responsible for Sunday morning preaching schedule, being personally responsible for at least 80% of the preaching schedule during the year.
• Provide leadership and vision, working alongside the Elder Team to establish, communicate, and execute a biblical vision of the local church
• Work with the Elder Team to provide visionary leadership to develop and guide the church's overall strategy for evangelism, discipleship, and missions.
• Work with the Elder Team in overseeing the spiritual needs of the body, providing oversight and coordination to provide effective biblical counseling as needed
• Provide general oversight and support for the church's ministries, ensuring execution of individual ministry goals with the overall vision of the church
• Oversee the development and training for ministry leaders and create a system of continuing support.
• Oversee and take initiative in leadership development for Elders, staff, and ministry leaders; ensuring support and development is provided to encourage and empower them toward effective and balanced ministry.
• Work alongside Elders to provide coordination, training, and oversight for the Community Group Ministry
• Oversee the planning of Sunday morning worship services.
• Lead the staff with administrative direction, supervision, evaluation, counsel, care, and accountability.

EDUCATION

• Seminary degree from a like-minded theological institution.
