Emmanuel Baptist Church – Mountain Home, Idaho

Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mountain Home, Idaho is seeking a part-time Lead Pastor (20–30 hours/week) to lead our congregation through a season of revitalization. We are praying for a gospel-centered shepherd who will preach the Word, care for the people, and help us pursue our mission with renewed vision—especially among the vibrant Air Force community at nearby Mountain Home Air Force Base.

About Our Church

Emmanuel Baptist Church is a small but committed fellowship affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, holding to the Baptist Faith and Message (2000). We are in the early stages of church revitalization and are eager for fresh leadership to help guide us forward in health, unity, and gospel witness.

Our congregation is loving, prayerful, and ready to grow. We believe that with the right leadership and God's provision, Emmanuel can be a beacon of hope and truth in Mountain Home and among the military families stationed nearby.

Our Community

Mountain Home is a growing town in southwestern Idaho, home to both long-time locals and a large, active-duty military population. Located just 45 minutes from Boise, our town blends small-town life with outdoor adventure and strategic ministry potential. The nearby Mountain Home Air Force Base offers a tremendous opportunity to reach young families, servicemen and women, and those in transition.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a pastor who will:

Preach the Bible faithfully and clearly, pointing people to Christ each week Lead with humility and vision, working closely with church members and leaders Shepherd the congregation, providing pastoral care, encouragement, and guidance Foster gospel-centered ministry, focused on making disciples and serving our city Champion revitalization, helping us rebuild spiritually and missionally with hope

Qualifications

We are looking for a man who:

Has a clear calling to pastoral ministry and a sincere love for Christ and the Church Meets the biblical qualifications for an elder (1 Timothy 3, Titus 1) Affirms the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 Is passionate about gospel-centered ministry and evangelism Has ministry experience and/or formal theological training (preferred) Is able to serve in a part-time (20–30 hours/week) capacity, with flexibility for bi-vocational ministry Is eager to embrace the challenges and rewards of church revitalization

Compensation

This is a part-time role with a monthly salary commensurate with experience and available church resources. The position is well-suited for a pastor who is bi-vocational, semi-retired, pursuing education, or called to shepherd a smaller congregation in a meaningful way.
