Graceview Baptist Church (an elder led church) located in Burleson, Texas is searching for a full-time Lead Pastor. The Pastoral Search Committee, along with the assistance of the church body, has identified the kind of man we will be searching for in our next Lead Pastor.

Job Description

We desire a Lead Pastor who is biblically qualified (1 Tim 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9) and will provide leadership, along with the elders, to the church staff and set a Biblical example in teaching and living for the entire church body. He will be committed to the infallibility and authority of the Bible. Our Lead Pastor will be firm in his conviction to teach and preach expositionally from the entire Bible.

The Lead Pastor will be the lead teaching shepherd for our body of believers, with primary responsibility for teaching God’s Truth. He will provide leadership with the elders and pastoral staff, assisting the elder board to guard the doctrine of the church from error, and helping each church member to grow to spiritual maturity.

Our committee will consider candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of pastoral ministry experience
• Affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
• Affirm the Nashville and Danvers Statement
• Affirm a Calvinistic leaning soteriology
• Hold an MDiv or equivalent degree
