Lone Camp Baptist Church in Palo Pinto County, TX has served our small but growing community for more than one hundred years. We are seeking a full-time pastor. We are seeking a passionate, energetic, dedicated Lead Pastor in leading our congregation in revival, missions, service and spiritual growth. Someone with experience, college degree with some seminary training is preferred but not essential to one called by God. Community Description:
Lone Camp is a small unincorporated community seven miles north of Santo, TX and seven miles south of Palo Pinto, TX along scenic FM Hwy 4 near Lake Palo Pinto. Many of the church members live on the lake. The church resides within the highly sought after Santo ISD but also services neighboring Palo Pinto ISD (Pre-K to sixth grade). The entire area is experiencing a time of growth and development. We are nine miles north of Interstate 20 and sixty-eight miles west of downtown Ft Worth, thirty-eight miles from Weatherford, and nineteen miles from Mineral Wells and the nearest Walmart.
Key Responsibilities:
The Lead Pastor's responsibility will include leading our other staff; Youth Minister, Music/Worship Ministry Team, Nursery Worker, Church Treasurer and Custodian (paid positions). The primary responsibility will be preaching on Sundays with time off for vacation, revivals, conferences and/or continuing education to be determined in the salary package. The Lead Pastor will attend monthly Deacon meetings, as well as Ex-Officio for all committees. He should provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the congregation. Specific areas of responsibility are:
· Plan, prepare for, and lead the Sunday morning worship service (including preparing and delivering the sermon)
· Lead in the observance of ordinances: prepare for and administer baptisms and prepare for and conduct the Lord's Supper.
· Lead and organize the Wednesday evening activities (children, youth, and adult bible study).
· Lead the church in an effective program of evangelism and discipleship.
· Conduct counseling sessions as needed.
· Counsel those engaged to be married and perform wedding ceremonies as required.
· Perform other pastoral duties including funerals, and dedications.
· Visit members and prospects. Visit church members when ill at home, in the hospital, or in extended care facilities.
· Promote and participate in dedicated events and church functions, including Vacation Bible School.
· Oversee the administration and management of church operations, including budgeting, financial planning, and personnel management.
· Engage and build relationships within the local community, participating in outreach and mission activities and collaborating with other organizations to address community needs.
· Cooperate with associational, state, and denominational leaders in matters of mutual interest and concerns. Keep the church informed of denominational development and represent the church in civic matters.
