About RCC:

In 2005, 10 families with a desire to worship God and impact the Ashland community with the gospel of Jesus Christ, began to meet, pray, and dream. The dream became a reality as RCC began public worship on Mother's Day of 2006. 10 families turned into more than 300 Christ-followers who now call RCC their church home.

After years of functioning as a mobile church in many different locations (elementary school, high school, the Strategic Air and Space Museum, and Camp Carol Joy Holling), Riverview found a permanent home in the Sabre Heights development on the west end of Ashland. In April of 2013, Riverview celebrated God's provision with their first worship service at 324 N. 32nd St.

God has great things in store for our future and we wait on Him to broaden our impact for the gospel and to help people experience the life of Christ in and through them.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

• Pray, teach, and preach God's Word in a Biblically-sound, practical and relevant manner
• Train and grow the body of Christ at RCC in the grace and knowledge of Jesus
• Train and empower leaders to further the mission, vision, and values of RCC
• Be intentional and strategic about building relationships with our community
• As a member of the Elder Team, shepherd the flock at RCC
• Oversee the teaching ministry so that any other speakers/preachers/ teachers at RCC will be faithful to God's Word
• Will lead the people of RCC in baptism, the Lord's supper, weddings, funerals, and other events as appropriate to the mission of RCC
• Overall responsibility for the ministries of RCC, including supervising RCC staff, periodic evaluation, accountability, and assisting staff and ministry leaders, making adjustments as God leads
• Will participate and promote the denominational relationship of RCC with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) at District and National levels

Qualifications for this position:

• Meet the scriptural qualifications for this position as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, and Titus 1:7-9
• Experience managing a growing ministry
• An ability to inspire and lead with a focus on the big picture vision and mission
• Missions-minded, including local, regional, and worldwide outreach
• Demonstrated ability to develop leaders intent on investing in the lives of people
• A passion and drive for reaching the unchurched and non-believers
• Be in agreement with Riverview's Statement of Faith and By-Laws
• Embrace the Family Core Values that guide the ministry of RCC
• Committed to learning and on-going professional development

Education/Experience:

• Undergraduate college degree
• Possess, or be working towards a Masters of Divinity from an accredited seminary
