History: Rochester Christian Church has served the Lord and the community since 1876. The church has overcome challenges, including fires that destroyed previous buildings in 1916 and 1947. The current church building was dedicated in 1955, with expansions in 1970, 1980, and 2001. In 2026, RCC will celebrate its 150th anniversary, marking a milestone in its ongoing service to the community. Our current weekly attendance is approximately 280.

Rochester Community: Rochester, Illinois, is located seven miles southeast of Springfield and has a population of approximately 3,899 as of 2023. The village is within Sangamon County and is served by the Rochester Community Unit School District 3A, which includes an elementary, intermediate, junior high, and high school. Staff: RCC currently employs 7 full-time ministers, program directors, and administrative staff and 2 part-time. RCC remains committed to missions, local outreach, community involvement, baptisms, and discipleship while preparing for future ministry opportunities.

Rochester Christian Church (RCC) is looking for a Lead Pastor with Godly qualities, strong leadership and people skills. The skills and gifts RCC is looking for involve characteristics to help fulfill RCC's mission to reach and disciple people. RCC strives to be a church dedicated to community outreach, service in Rochester and nearby areas, and being actively involved and support of global missions. Our church is firmly committed to being Godly-centered and seeks to reflect Jesus in all aspects of our ministry.
