Position Summary
The Pastor serves as the spiritual leader of the church, responsible for preaching, teaching, shepherding, and equipping the congregation to grow in faith and live out the mission of the church. The Pastor provides vision, leadership, pastoral care, and administrative oversight in accordance with the teachings of the Bible and the Baptist faith tradition.
Primary Responsibilities
Preaching & Teaching

Preach Biblically sound sermons at regular worship services.

Lead Bible studies, discipleship training, and other teaching ministries.

Administer ordinances (Baptism and the Lord's Supper) in accordance with Baptist doctrine.
Pastoral Care

Provide spiritual counseling, encouragement, and prayer support.

Visit members who are sick, hospitalized, bereaved, or in need.

Officiate weddings, funerals, and other special services.
Leadership & Vision

Cast and communicate a clear, Biblically grounded vision for the church.

Work with church leadership (deacons, trustees, ministry leaders) to set goals and implement ministries.

Mentor and equip members for service and leadership.
Administration

Oversee church staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders.

Collaborate with the deacon board and committees for church governance.

Ensure proper stewardship of church finances, facilities, and resources.
Qualifications
-
A clear calling to pastoral ministry and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Ordination or willingness to pursue ordination in the Baptist tradition.
-
Strong knowledge of the Bible and ability to communicate it effectively.
-
Experience in pastoral leadership, preaching, and shepherding a congregation.

Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.

Bachelor's degree in theology, ministry, or related field (Master of Divinity preferred).
