Title of Position: Lead Pastor, Full-Time

Church Location: This Bible believing ministry is located in South Jersey (08081), less than 30min from Philadelphia.

Job Description: South Jersey Ministry is an established and growing multi-ethnic fellowship of believer who combine solid teaching with vibrant worship. The fellowship believes in vibrant worship but does not believe that the charismatic sign gifts (prophecy, tongues, etc.) are normative for today. South Jersey Ministry is seeking a lead pastor who is an outstanding leader with experience and vision, who is an excellent expositor of the Word and has shepherd’s heart to genuinely care for God’s people. South Jersey Ministry  is extremely involved in community development as well and is looking for someone who is serious and skilled in leading large community service efforts.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is gifted in leadership, teaching, and service, and possesses a collaborative and positive disposition that equips and uplifts those around them.  

Minimum Years of Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of ministry experience and has successfully demonstrated leadership that both grew a congregation and engaged them in their community in meaningful and significant ways.

Minimum Education Level: A graduate degree in ministry or religion is highly preferred.

Compensation: Range begins at $70,000 and is negotiable.

Church Size: Small (100-150 for Avg. Sunday Attendance)

Church Setting: Suburban (a very diverse neighborhood: Black, White, Hispanic)

Church Details: Founded over 50 years ago, the next pastor will only be the 6th pastor in the succession. This church has been stable, never split, and led extremely well. It emphasizes conflict resolution and spiritual formation throughout all its ministries.

OUR MISSION is to reach the world by cultivating passionate disciples who lovingly carry the gospel to community and beyond. South Jersey Ministry has a simple but effective step by step process for spiritual growth. Utilizing large group initiatives, small group gatherings, and one-on-one individualized ministries, South Jersey Ministry enthusiastically embrace the challenge of changing the  community for Christ, one life at a time.

OUR VISION is to continue growing into God’s grace and knowledge in vibrant, loving, biblical community. South Jersey Ministry thinks of the church as being a singular community of faith composed of various groups:  Large Group or Sunday Morning Worship service (where the community work together to love one another and the community through initiatives), The Small Groups (where the group learns with one another through study, fellowship, prayer, and service), The Close Groups or discipleship relationships (where the community lives out the faith with unique focus), and finally the Action Groups or ministries, where the ministry launch out into God’s plans by using spiritual gifts.
