The Union Church of Monterrey in beautiful Monterrey Mexico, is looking for someone who is willing and desiring an international experience in an english speaking church with a congregation of many different backgrounds. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with a multi-national, expat-friendly congregation, including Americans, Europeans, Asians, and local Mexican members.

We are seeking a full time lead-pastor who will teach the Word of God, with sermons based on the bible, with a strong emphasis on grace, encouragement and spiritual growth. We are seeking someone who can connect with people of all ages, offering biblical wisdom for everyday challenges while helping the church grow and thrive.

Job Description

To proclaim the Word of God in a regular pulpit ministry

Spend significant time in prayer and Bible study

Direct plans for ministry and church growth

Motivate, equip, and nurture the congregation through example preaching and teaching of God's Word and spriritual counseling

Facilitate the contact/visitation of hospitalized, sick, home-bound, or grieving church members

Officiate at weddings and funerals

Prepare bulletin and weekly letter

Provide counseling within the parameter of expertise, and make referrals to competent individuals/agencies when needed

Maintain and implement a plan for regular contact with church members

Participate in board meetings

Oversee church staff (secretary and janitor)
