Job Overview

The primary role of the Live Video Director is to oversee and lead the live video production team, with the goal of delivering an excellent in-house iMag and live streaming experience. As a part of the larger production team, the Live Video Director will assist with set turns, creative planning, and upkeep of all AVL systems at the Troy campus.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Brings leadership and coaching to the live video team for weekend services and special events. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling and pre-production (shot sheets, prepping camera angels, etc.) and coaching of looks and movements to enhance 
• Recruits and trains the video production team and directors. In the director seat 25% of the time, with coaching and training the other 75% of the time (with trusted team leaders given the option to be able to attend service with family on a Sunday once per month) 
• Partners with Worship Arts Staff to help lead innovation and development of the systems and process that continue to grow the capacity and potential of Woodside’s live video brand 
• Partners with Worship Arts Staff in leading lighting team to ensure optimal lighting for video and in-room experience, with the goal of continuous improvement 
• Partners with Communications Lighting and Audio team to continually improve the quality of the live stream and in the Troy Worship Center 
• Participants in regular evaluations and critique sessions to maintain a bar of excellence and monitoring the impact of service elements 
• Assists the production arts team with implementing creative elements in services. Assists with set turns and technical improvements 
• Other duties as assigned
