Overview The Media Director of Central Baptist Church supports the ministries of the church by managing the audio, visual, lighting, and production needs of al ministry programming, worship services, and special events. This position si responsible for developing systems and processes for all media needs as well as managing the technologies that support those needs. In addition, the Media Director provides leadership to a comprehensive volunteer team. This includes recruitment, training, and scheduling as needed. The Media Director reports directly to the Worship Pastor but serves the whole staff as media liaison. This is a full time salaried position with the expectation of a 40 hour work week. If the candidate is not already a member of the church, they would be expected to join within 60 days of their hire. This time frame would also constitute a trial period at the end of which they would be evaluated to make sure they are able to perform the duties associated with the job. fI it is determined they are not able to perform the duties listed, they wil not be retained.
Qualifications The Media Director is to be a born again believer, acknowledging Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior, and have an ongoing personal relationship with Him. The Media Director should maintain a vibrant spiritual life in accordance with the doctrines found in scripture, supported by the Baptist Faith and Message statement of the Southern Baptist Convention, adhere to the values and missional causes of Central Baptist Church, and be a member of the church. The Media Director should be professionally trained or have an exceptional experience record. Candidates wil be required to submit to background checks including: Criminal – Local, State, and Federal; Financial/Credit History; Drug Screens; and Personal References.
Primary Responsibilities 1. Lead an exciting and growing team of media volunteers to share the gospel through media and technology ni support of the mission/vision of Central Baptist Church 2. Engage our community and serve the Central Baptist Church family by producing and posting weekly worship services and special elements to media outlets including streaming, social media, and other platforms 3. Join the Production Team as media liaison for designing worship services and special events .4 Support the church staff and ministries by maintaining media equipment and needs throughout the building 5. Maintain copyright compliance and reporting for media usage, broadcast/streaming, and ministry tools that support media functions in the church

Specific Skills (helpful knowledge and experience) Work in Mac ecosystem with some basic PC crossover ProPresenter – for visual presentations including graphics, lyrics, and media elements Audio Editing – DAW – Logic or Pro Tools, and Ableton (for live stems from stage) Video Editing – NLE – Final Cut and Davinci Front of House Mixing – able to mix audio and knowledge of Dante network audio Lighting – knowledge of production lighting, techniques, and programming of console Video – knowledge of video technologies including cameras, interfaces, routing, NDI, recording, and directing Streaming – knowledge of broadcast workflow and technologies for web streaming video of services and events Production Equipment – knowledge of hardware and software related to media and production: mixers, microphones, cables, amps, projectors, TVs, network switches, computers, phones/tablets/apps, media files Network Infrastructure – basic knowledge of network technologies and routing would be very helpful in this role Must be able to lift up to 50lbs of equipment as needed for setup/teardown Typical Work Schedule – (flexible based on production needs) Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (including evening programming), Thursday (final production prep) Friday/Saturday – OFF Occasional special events (funerals, weddings, meetings, etc.) throughout the week
