1. Maintains the general order and safety of the Men's Shelter.

2. Supervises non-programmatic house activities to ensure that they are conducted in an effective and timely manner.

3. Ensures that adequate security exists within the Men's Shelter to protect Mission clients, staff, volunteers, visitors, and property.

4. Ensures that all guests comply with house rules. Judiciously administers the use of dismissal and suspension for infractions that jeopardize the general order and safety of the house.

5. Appropriately addresses emergencies that may arise within the Shelter by promptly summoning the police, fire department, ambulance, or taking other appropriate action.

6. Prepares Incident Reports covering all significant problems, including unacceptable guest behavior encountered during the shift.

7. Accomplishes all interviewing, paperwork, and drug/alcohol testing required to process incoming guests.

8. At the beginning and end of each shift worked, meet with the House Supervisor(s) going off and coming on duty to exchange information concerning the continuity of house operations.

9. Dispatches the Men's Shelter van as necessary to meet authorized needs.

10. Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior House Supervisor or the Director.
