About the Middle School Director:

The Director Level exists to provide ministry leadership through vision casting, volunteer recruiting, ongoing discipleship of volunteers, and promoting value-based movement engagement.

Job Description

The Middle School Director's Responsibilities Include:

Building Volunteer Teams for the weekend church experience:

  • Recruit
    • Create and mobilize mid-week and Sunday strategies to invite students

and adults to gather differently through volunteering (sg leaders,

communicators, tech, and more)

    • Onboard volunteers through form and background check process
  • Weekly discipleship one-on-ones with volunteers
    • Pastor through truth/love, and crucial conversations
  • Multiply small groups
  • Schedule Sunday teams
  • Connects volunteers to their next step on the growth track

Partnering with parents:

  • Connect with parents outside of the weekend church experience
  • Communicate, market, and grow family engagement, while using age specific resources

Communicating:

  • Have the ability to prepare and teach a 12-15 minutes message
  • Grow as a communicator
  • Prepare and cast vision for Team Nights
  • Lead weekend volunteer huddles

Events:

  • Plan for, staff and attend 2 camps, 2 large events, 4 medium size events, 4 small

events.

Grow ministry:

  • Middle School ministry is 4% of Mission Church total attendance on a Sunday
  • Volunteer and student ratio is 1:8
  • Retain families and reach new families through innovation

Education & Experience

  • Under-grad degree preferred
  • 3 years of ministry experience
