Responsibilities:

• Work with contractors and consultants regarding site and building maintenance
• Be familiar with all contracts pertaining to maintenance; monitor records to ensure government standards are met
• Correct problems with all mechanical systems, plumbing systems, fire and security alarm systems and custodial equipment
• Participate in routine inspections and maintenance on towers and antenna systems
• Assess operational status of antennas and grounds during emergencies
• Climb towers up to 250′ feet in height to perform all normal rigging duties
• Develop long-range plans and department policies; assist in budgets preparation for supplies and building repair needs

Desirable Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of a wide variety of commercial/industrial-quality building systems (power distribution, HVAC, structural, alarms and elevators, grounds), or be able to develop said competencies
• Familiar with safety policies and procedures applicable to commercial/industrial settings
• Working knowledge of project management
• Capable of using variety of computer-based systems
• Willing and able to be on call 24/7 for emergency response
• Proficient in spoken and written English
