At Broadmoor Baptist Church, the statement "Everyone on mission" is their visionary call for disciples. Broadmoor exists to glorify God by making disciples of all nations. They are seeking a visionary, strategic, and relational leader to serve as their Minister of Missions. This individual will lead efforts to equip and mobilize the church to live on mission—locally, nationally, and globally—fulfilling the Great Commission through meaningful partnerships, intentional training, and strategic sending.

The Minister of Missions has a phenomenal team at their disposal. The Missions Committee and full-time Ministry Assistant are completely dedicated to the significant role that Missions plays at Broadmoor. There are also aspirational goals of expanding current missions and outreach partnerships and influencing every age and stage at Broadmoor to be engaged in those partnerships. The support and resources are in place to make these objectives a reality.

About the Church

Broadmoor is known as a church that has loved and taught Scripture for over 90 years. Everything they do is saturated with the word. Their passion for missions at every level (local, regional, global) is clearly evident. Broadmoor has positioned themselves as a multi-generational church offering two Contemporary Gatherings, a Traditional Gathering, and a Hispanic Gathering on Sunday mornings. Each of these services are led with excellence and dedicated to the glory of God.

With a history of leading warm, welcoming ministry, Broadmoor is known as a church with a trusted reputation. Their goal is to welcome everyone as Christ welcomes us. Over the past 25 years, Pastor Chuck Pourciau has led the church to grow in numbers, generosity, and a mindset toward missions. Disciple-making has been catalyzed recently by a church-wide Scripture reading initiative and a long-standing daily devotional podcast called MOOR Of the Word.

About the Opportunity

1. Lead Strategic Direction

-Collaborate with the Lead Pastor, Executive Pastor, and Missions Committee to develop and implement a church-wide missions strategy that aligns with Broadmoor's vision and discipleship pathway.-Evaluate and adapt strategies to respond to global, national, and local ministry opportunities.

2. Cultivate Mission Partnerships-Develop and nurture relationships with missionaries, agencies, and ministry partners.-Strengthen church-wide engagement through ongoing support, prayer, communication, and mobilization efforts.

3. Equip the Church-Design and oversee training environments—such as classes, mission labs, workshops, and speaker series—to prepare members to live missionally in every context.-Equip B Groups and ministry teams with resources and opportunities for hands-on involvement.

4. Mobilize Disciples-Create clear pathways to move people from awareness to action—from the pew to the field.-Lead the planning and execution of mission trips, local initiatives, and long-term deployment strategies.

5. Champion Mission Culture-Ensure consistent, inspiring communication of mission opportunities, stories, and impact across all church platforms.-Inspire a culture where every disciple is empowered and expected to live on mission.

6. Provide Pastoral Support-Serve as part of the Ministry Staff and provide pastoral care through teaching, visitation, weddings, funerals, and other responsibilities as needed.

The Ideal Candidate-Will be passionate about global and local missions with a heart for the nations.-Should have proven leadership experience in a missions or ministry context.-Exhibits strong communication, relational, and organizational skills.-Possesses theological training and alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Broadmoor Baptist Church.
