Job Overview

The role of Minister of Music and Media is a FT position that will have the primary responsibility of engaging the congregation to participate in gospel-centered, doctrinally sound, Spirit-led worship through music. Additionally, in supporting the vision and mission of the church this position will oversee the development and production of media communications and the online presence of the church. Preferred experience would include minimum three years in worship ministry, experience with media/communication, a demonstrated record of leadership and education commensurate to the role.

We are a friendly congregation of devoted followers of Christ in the Texas Hill Country who meet several times throughout the week for various ministries but primarily in two corporate gatherings for worship on Sunday morning. We believe Jesus gave the Church its mission in Matthew 28:18-20. The vision statement for our church, “To truly know Jesus and to make His truth known,” reflects this mission.

The Minister of Music and Media will be a man who fully embraces the mission and the below ministry priorities:

Job Description

Equip members to live a life of worship and mission –

• Create, plan, and oversee the Sunday morning worship gatherings, rehearsals for Sunday morning worship, and other special events as needed.
• Lead, recruit, and oversee church members or teams to participate and engage in the music ministries of the church.
• Cultivate within members a deep affection for Christ, manifested in corporate worship.
• Plan and pray towards a strategy to intentionally train up the next generation of worshippers.

Engage in the needs of the church body and music teams –

• Genuinely care and shepherd the church as you engage in their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Meet the needs of the church body through the ministry of the word, prayer, and practical help.
• Create strategies to equip music and media team members to help each other trust and follow Christ.
• Create mechanisms to connect music and media team members with each other for mutual support and encouragement.

Oversee creation and production of communication/media tools –

• Oversee and maintain current, compelling, and engaging content through the ministry of media including live streaming, Sunday bulletins, weekly emails, social media, online presence, and other ministry communications, events, and activities as needed.
• Lead, recruit, and oversee church members or teams to participate and engage in the media ministries of the church.
• Coordinate and communicate advance planning of music and media for weekly gatherings and special events of the church.
• Provide direction, guidance, and support to church staff, team members, and vendors for content creation of media including digital, written, website, and video communication.
