About the PositionThis full-time position works closely with, and answers directly to, the Senior Pastor. In addition to the general job description below, the Minister of Music is required to be a mature Christian in doctrine, temperament, and behavior, as generally outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

1. Plan, prepare, and lead worship services for regular and special worship services,
2. Rehearse and lead choir, praise team, and worship band for worship services
3. Help arrange and provide (if requested) music for weddings, funerals, and other church events as needed
4. Provide oversight for a fully graded choir program (preschool, children, and students) including direction of the student choir
5. Supervise full-time media director who oversees lighting, video, and audio ministries
6. Plan, present, and administer the annual budget for the music and worship ministry
7. Help provide music and worship leadership for annual events, such as student camp
8. Perform, as a member of the ministerial staff, general duties related to congregational care
9. All other duties as assigned by the pastor
