POSITION Minister of Worship and Discipleship

• SUMMARY The overall responsibility of the Minister of Worship and Discipleship at Midwood is to support the mission and vision of the church by helping lead God's people in gospel rich, biblical worship and growth in their discipleship. The Minister of Worship/Discipleship will arrange music, schedule volunteers, and lead congregational worship music on a weekly basis. The Minister of Worship and Discipleship will also help the Senior Pastor with weekly discipleship and teaching.ABOUT MIDWOOD Midwood Baptist Church is in the middle of the historic and growing Plaza Midwood neighborhood which sits 10 minutes NE of Charlotte's city center. This provides an abundant opportunity to see lives transformed by God, through the gospel, and for his glory. Midwood exists to glorify God by making disciples who know the gospel, grow in the gospel, and go with the gospel.

  QUALIFICATIONS · Believer: A born-again believer in Jesus Christ. · Christ Follower: Maintains an active walk with Christ through the practice of spiritual disciplines. · Member: Pursues church membership. · Character: Seeks to be humble, demonstrates servant leadership, and willingness to work hard. · Team-Minded: Willing to work in cooperation with the pastor, deacons, ministry leaders, and volunteers in all facets of church life.

  WORSHIP LEADER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Lead God's people in gospel rich, biblical worship during our Sunday morning worship service. Work with Senior Pastor to build a vision for our church's worship ministry. Work with Senior Pastor to select songs and lay out service plan for Sunday morning worship Maintain and publish a volunteer rotation schedule for band and vocalists. Write up and distribute service plans, music, etc. each week on Planning Center. Interview potential new music volunteers for musical proficiency. Integrate new music volunteers into worship services. Arrange lyric slides on ProPresenter for congregational use during worship services. Work with Audio/Visual Tech team to help oversee audio mixing and production.

  DISCIPLESHIP/OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Equip our church in executing our Discipleship Strategy. Provide help with the teaching and preaching ministry of the church. Help execute details related to Sunday morning and Wednesday night ministries. Disciple and mentor others within the church. Assist with outreach engagement as you help foster a culture of evangelism. Participate in weekly staff meetings and mentorship with Senior Pastor. Develop/organize midweek discussion guides. Help oversee building maintenance and upkeep.
