MINISTER OF WORSHIP – Full Time/Part Time Position

Objective

The Minister of Worship will develop a music ministry that points the congregation of Parkview to praise, worship, and commune with God and Jesus Christ.

Qualifications

● A strong passion and sincere calling to lead all ages in worship and to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ

● An outgoing, friendly, energetic, self-motivated personality

● Good leadership, administrative, organizational, communication and people skills; able to coordinate, supervise and work well with volunteers, students, and other church employees

● Minimum Experience – Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent ministry experience

Ministry Objectives and Responsibilities

● Develop a biblically sound, Christ honoring music program consistent with the Baptist Faith and Message

● Provide oversight for the worship ministry and team members including Adult Choir, Instrumentalists, Praise Team, & Audio/Visual Team

○ Lead weekly choir rehearsal, praise team, and instrumentalist practice

○ Prepare copies, music, chord charts, rehearsal tools, stage, tech booth etc. for worship services and rehearsals

○ Maintain the schedule of worship team members in Planning Center

● Select, plan, lead, and execute music programs of the church for regular Sunday worship, Christmas, Easter, and any other scheduled special services

● Maintain the music library, sound equipment, and choir equipment

● Enlist and train lay leaders as needed for the church music ministry

● Oversee the Adult Choir, Music, and Audio Equipment budgets

● Ensure all workers/employees in your area of ministry remain compliant with all church policies, including, but not limited to background checks

● Participate in Bi-weekly staff meetings

● Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor
