About NGBC:
North Greenwood Baptist Church is located in Greenwood, Mississippi, in the Mississippi Delta Region. On Sunday mornings, we have two worship services, one at 8:00 and one at 10:30. These two services are both blended in worship style. Sunday School classes for all age groups meet at 9:15. Nursery is offered during all services, and Children's Church for grades 4K-2nd Grade meets during the 10:30 service. On Wednesday Nights, we have children's and preschool choir, Midweek for kids, student worship, Prayer Meeting, and an Old Testament Survey class.
Currently, our staff consists of a full time Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Pastor to Families with Students, and a part time interim Worship Pastor. We are searching for a permanent Worship Pastor, a full time Minister to Families with Children, and a part time Preschool Director.
Our normal attendance on Sunday for both services is 350 with 175 attending Sunday School as well. On Sunday mornings, we will have ~30 in the children's Sunday School classes, and Children's Church will average ~15. Wednesday nights will see close to 40 children in our Midweek activities.
The community of North Greenwood offers opportunities for tremendous growth in these areas. Several elementary schools are within a few minutes of the church, and over half our city is unchurched. We desire to see families from all across our community come to know Jesus and connect to a local church.
