First Baptist Arlington seeks a passionate, spiritually mature Minister to Youth for grades 7-12. This full-time role focuses on fostering spiritual formation through a comprehensive ministry.

We are looking for an engaging, relational leader with strong communication skills, experienced in building connections with youth, parents, and church members. Responsibilities include cultivating commitment to worship, discipleship, evangelism, missions, and service, as well as coordinating programs and managing volunteers and staff.

Candidates must have an evident personal walk with Jesus, a clear calling to youth ministry, and at least 5 years of leadership experience in a healthy youth ministry.

Job Description for: Minister to Youth

Supervisor: Minister to Adults

Staff Category: Ministerial

Status: Full-time

Overtime Status: Exempt

Job Summary

• Responsible for organizing and overseeing a comprehensive ministry to Junior High and Senior High students

Core Responsibilities/Tasks

• Develop good relationships with youth, parents/guardians, leaders and church members
• Cultivate a commitment to worship, discipleship, evangelism, missions and service
• Coordinate all youth programs and events
• Enlist, train and manage a team of adult volunteers
• Hire, train, develop, and manage all those under my supervision
• Provide support and resources for youth parents/guardians
• Assist the church in understanding the current culture and needs of teenagers
• Seek to understand current trends in youth ministry and provide strategic applications
• Cultivate relationships with the diverse community at large
• Prepare and administer an approved annual budget
• Direct the usage and maintenance of the Student Building in coordination with the college ministry
• Cooperate with the Ministerial Staff to accomplish the church's mission
• Serve as the Staff Representative to assigned committees and ministry teams
• Accomplish ministerial duties as assigned by church

• Accomplish all other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Job Requirements

• Education: College degree; post-graduate degree in field preferred
• Experience: 5 or more years in youth ministry preferred

Minimum Office Equipment/Computer Proficiency

• Knowledge of the following software is preferred: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Canva, ClickUp, and Planning Center
• Knowledge of trending social media

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Supervises subordinate staff as directed
