Mission Ministry Worker

Job Overview

Kingston Christian Reformed Church (‘KCRC’) is a gospel-focused, Bible-believing church based in Kingston, Tasmania (ten minutes south of Hobart city centre). KCRC exists to glorify God by delighting in God, in loving community, growing deeper in the word, and serving with joy to see people saved. We currently have 400 members in two congregations and a staff team of two pastors and two ministry workers.

We are looking to add a mission ministry worker to our staff team to lead us in having a sharp missional focus in everything we do as a church. The position is available full time or part time depending on other gifts, roles, and responsibilities. This position requires a working children registration or equivalent.

Job Description

There are four key areas of the mission ministry worker role

  • Agitate for mission throughout our church – Actively looking at everything we do as a church (programs, services, vision) to make sure it has an eye towards those who do not yet know Jesus
  • Mobilize the whole church for mission – The mission worker is not only to do mission personally but to equip and encourage each of us in the role we have to play in promoting the gospel
  • Run our Exploring Jesus course – The worker will clearly and engagingly run our weekly opportunity for people to find out more about Jesus and ask their questions.
  • Identify and equip the evangelists at KCRC – God has specifically gifted the church with evangelists, the mission worker will work to encourage and train them in their gifts for the building up of the church.
