Position SummaryThe Missions Director at East Cooper Baptist Church is responsible for planning and managing mission initiatives. The Missions Director must be able to work independently to plan, organize, execute, and otherwise superintend their responsibilities while keeping the supervisor informed. The Missions Director can best oversee the ministries and their lead volunteers by being available, organized, working excellently with other departments, and in possessing good interpersonal problem-solving skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

Develop Local Outreach serving opportunities and facilitate the filling of those opportunities by ECBC members/attendees.Maintain regular contact with partner organizations and ensure alignment with ECBC.Coordinate with the Missions Committee and pastoral staff on planning the Global Impact Conference and promoting the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.Work with the pastoral staff to secure short-term trip details, train and prepare volunteers, and support them throughout the trip.Participate in at least one short-term mission trip annually.
