Requirements
- A passion for Christ and the ministry calling of God.

- A BS or BA degree or equivalent experience.
- A Master’s degree from a theological seminary is a bonus.
- Prior ministry experience preferred.
- Strong musical background, dependable, spiritually motivated, creative.
- Ability to read vocal and instrumental music.
- Ability to use ProPresenter and Planning Center
- Participation and familiarity with educational and discipleship ministries.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, planning, and administration.
- Excellent organizational and people skills.
- Adept in promoting, enlisting, mentoring, and team building skills.
- Fulfill all other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
Job Description
Music Minister Duties
- Meet with Senior Pastor weekly to coordinate worship direction.
- Plan and lead music for worship services.
- Select specific band and praise team members for the current week.
- Prepare music for band, praise team, and choir on Planning Center.
- Copy rehearsal music for choir.
- Record any necessary listening tracks for choir and band.
- Rehearse music with choir, praise team, and band.
- Recruit, train, coordinate, and supervise a team of volunteers to participate in the media ministry (sound, lighting, livestreaming, slide presentation) and the music ministry (choir, praise team, band).
- Supervise production of weekly worship presentation software through ProPresenter.
- Prepare an annual music budget.
- Purchase music and supplies as needed.
- Maintain instruments and equipment.
- Plan special services for the choir and band such as Christmas and Easter.
- Be available to assist with other music needs such as funerals, special services, and outreach events.
Connections Minister Duties
- Develop, implement, and oversee Life Groups and Small Groups in the church.
- Assist Life Group and Small Group teachers with the curriculum they need to minister to their groups.
- Encourage groups to adopt the biblical mandate: disciples are called to make disciples (discipleship/evangelism).
- Implement a leadership development strategy to identify, recruit, train, develop, and coach small group leaders.
- Develop a strategy to transition newcomers from visiting to participating to serving.
- Assist and train our First Impressions ministry (greeters, parking, safety, ushers) as they seek to welcome, direct, and guide newcomers to our church.
- Maintain up-to-date information for our Get Connected Center wall.
- Keep signage current and focused on new guests.
- Assess, create, and implement follow-up methods to ensure that guests are plugged into Ridgecrest.
