Westside Baptist Church – Music/ Youth Minister

Bivocational Music and/or Youth Minister

Westside Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a bivocational Music and/or Youth Minister to join our church family. We are a loving, Christ-centered congregation with a heart for worship, discipleship, and reaching our community with the Gospel.

Responsibilities include:

Music Ministry:

· Lead our congregation in Christ-centered worship, with a strong foundation in traditional hymns and a blend of worship songs that honor the Lord.

· Direct and shepherd our adult choir, preparing special music for worship services and seasonal programs.

· Work with the pastor and leadership team to plan services that reflect our traditional roots while embracing thoughtful, meaningful worship music.

· Encourage and develop musical talent within the church.

Youth Ministry:

· Lead and disciple students (grades 7-12), pointing them toward a growing relationship with Christ.

· Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings, Bible studies, and special events.

· Partner with parents in the spiritual growth of their teenagers.

Qualifications:

· A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to ministry.

· Agreement with the beliefs and mission of Westside Baptist Church.

· A servant's heart, teachable spirit, and ability to work with a team.

· Musical leadership skills with the ability to lead hymns, choir, and blended worship.

· Passion for investing in the next generation through youth ministry.

· This is a bivocational position – hours and responsibility are flexible depending on the candidate's gifts and calling.
