Job Responsibilities and Duties Worship Leader · Plan and lead Christ-centered worship services which include both traditional and contemporary music to include multi-generations · Involve the congregation through innovative worship experiences · Select and prepare music that supports the text being preached, sermon series, and church calendar · Recruit and develop ministry volunteers to serve on the worship and production teams · Provide development opportunities for younger church members as musicians or technical · Lead weekly rehearsals with sensitivity to the skill levels of musicians · Prepare weekly worship visuals using PowerPoint, ProPresenter, etc. · Ensure instruments, lighting, sound systems, computers and software are functioning properly; oversee maintenance and replacement as needed Spiritual Leadership · Support the pastor to achieve the church's vision · Model Christlike character and lead worship with integrity · Serve on the leadership team · Serve in a variety of other ministries within the church as needed Communication & Administration · Plan services and communicate effectively with pastor, staff and volunteers · Oversee worship ministry budget and equipment needs · Manage presentation software, sound, livestream and other AV components Skills & Experience · Proficient in using PC or Apple computer products, ProPresenter, Planning Center, and a digital sound board · Experienced in maintaining proper function of instruments, lighting, sound systems, computers and software · Provide oversight of all technical aspects of audio/video for worship services Qualifications · Personal walk with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to worship ministry · Ability to lead vocally and instrumentally (guitar or piano preferred) · Experience in both traditional and contemporary worship styles · Strong relational and communication skills · Alignment with the church's mission, vision and theology Education & Experience · Minimum – Bachelor's degree in Worship, Music, Theology or a related field · Previous experience as Worship Leader or similar role Expectations · Ability to relocate to Charlotte, NC · Must be willing to join the faith family of DMBC · Must lead by example with faithfulness to the Spiritual disciplines including tithing Compensation · Full time compensation will be determined based on the education and experience of the approved candidate
