Worship Minister / InternAsian American Baptist Church – Richardson, TX

Asian American Baptist Church (AABC) is prayerfully seeking either a part-time Worship Director (salaried) or Worship Intern (stipend) to join our pastoral staff. AABC is a Christ-centered biblical community that exists to demonstrate grace generously, share Christ boldly, and love others unconditionally. Our congregation is composed primarily of young couples and families with children, and our worship blends contemporary and traditional expressions.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate worship with excellence, with the ability to lead independently when necessary.
• Coordinate worship services in collaboration with pastoral staff and elders.
• Recruit, train, and shepherd praise team members.
• Oversee A/V and sound needs, including equipment recommendations.
• Cultivate worship that reflects biblical depth and theological integrity.
• Contribute to the discipleship pathway of the church (Gather, Grow, Go).
• Learn and grow under the mentorship of seasoned Asian American pastors.
• Support broader ministry initiatives as giftedness, passion, and need allow.

Qualifications

• Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and spiritual maturity.
• Agreement with AABC's doctrinal statement (aligned with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000).
• Commitment to conservative, Reformed theology and the authority of Scripture.
• Musical gifting and ability to lead God's people in worship.
• Understanding of Asian American culture and diaspora church dynamics.
• Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and discipleship skills.
• For Part-Time Worship Minister: Prior worship-leading experience and near completion or completion of an M.Div.
• For Intern: Demonstrated musical gifting with a willingness to grow in ministry leadership.

Details

Compensation: $2,000/month (Part-Time Director) or $1,000/month (Intern).Reports to the Lead Pastor and Elders.The role may expand into full-time with additional ministry responsibilities if there is a long-term good fit.
