Job Overview

The Music Ministry Coordinator works with the Pastor to lead the music ministry at Christ Our Redeemer Community Church. The Coordinator is responsible for organizing and implementing our music ministry in support of the vision and ministries of the Church as a whole. This is a part-time position.

*Please Note: We are willing to consider making this position a full-time paid internship as an alternative to a part-time position, depending on the needs and desires of the applicant.

Job Description

1. Philosophy – Under the supervision of the Pastor and Elders, the Music Ministry Coordinator will work to develop a vision and facilitate the music ministry at Christ Our Redeemer.
2. Operational Role/Leadership – The Coordinator will recruit, train, equip and schedule members for the Worship Ministry Team to carry out its ministries and work with them to set standards for participation and performance. Feedback from team members, staff, and elders should also be used to improve the ministry, resolve mission-critical issues, and exercise necessary decision-making.
3. Collaboration – The Coordinator will work with other leaders to plan music programming.
4. Particulars:

a.) Music – oversee the music component of our worship services, working with the Lead Pastor to select songs for Sunday worship services.

b.) Musicians – supervise the scheduling of musicians for services; plan rehearsals; develop and coach the members of the Worship Ministry Team as needed.

c.) Media – work with the audio/visual team to ensure that events are supported with necessary media, including sound, lyrics, and other components.

d.) Money – manage purchases, maintenance, and resourcing for the music ministry within the approved budget.

e.) Most Sundays – we will expect the Coordinator to lead our worship most Sundays, but also to be developing other musicians on the team to be able to lead as needed.
