Crossroads Bible Fellowship is looking to fill a part-time position, estimated at 10-12 hrs/week. The goal of this leader is to support and enhance the Sunday morning worship experience through the leading of both contemporary and traditional music, such that God is glorified by the sincere worship of God's saints.

Role and responsibilities:

• Lead music an average of 3 Sundays per month
• Manage, mentor, and encourage a team of volunteer musicians
• Recruit and train new music team members, as appropriate
• Work with music team members to produce a schedule for Sunday participation
• Coordinate song selection with those who are preaching to align with sermon topics and to plan the overall flow of the Sunday service
• Communicate song selection with music team members
• Coordinate with sound team to ensure proper setup of equipment each week
• Hold joint or individual music practice sessions, as appropriate
• Oversee tech team responsible for in-house media production and outgoing live stream
• Ensure that all song lyrics are consistent with sound Biblical teaching and in agreement with our doctrinal statement
• Be accountable to the church elders

Required Qualifications:

• Born-again believer in Christ exhibiting depth of character and commitment to the Lord
• Strong lead vocalist
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency on acoustic guitar or keyboard
• Ability to lead the flow of worship and handle smooth transitions between songs
• Knowledge of best practices in worship service design, modern worship music, and traditional hymns
• Strong relationship skills with individuals and teams
• Desire to learn and collect feedback
• High level of initiative, motivation, and enthusiasm
• Full agreement with CBF's Mission, Vision, and Foundational Doctrine statement
• Willingness to become a member of Crossroads
• Lives in Rochester, NY area

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in worship ministry at an established church with modern sound equipment
• Proficiency on multiple instruments
• Familiarity with tools such as Planning Center, Pro Presenter, and VMIX.

Pay Range:

This is a part-time hourly position paid at $20-22/hr, commensurate with experience.
