Covenant Baptist Church is located at 6820 Nolensville Road in Brentwood, Tennessee. The church ministers in a suburb of Nashville that is booming with growth. This could be a thrilling opportunity to see a ministry thrive in reaching young families. The church has been going through a "reset" this year and recently voted to change the name of the church to Concord Village Baptist Church. A launch date to begin using the new name will be announced soon.

Principal Function:

The Next Gen Pastor will oversee the areas of children's ministry, youth ministry, and young adult's ministry. A significant aspect of this role involves launching and revitalizing ministry to young families in a long-established church. This person will share the vision of the church in seeing the potential of reaching young families in our growing community.

Accountability:

The Next Gen Pastor will report directly to the Senior Pastor. He will work with staff, ministry teams, and other leaders to develop, implement, evaluate and maintain an effective ministry to the next generation.

Responsibilities:

Launch ministry from the ground up to attract and minister to families with young children and youthRevitalize current ministries to children and youthInitiate an effective plan for ministry to children, youth, and their parentsBuild relationships in the community with parents, local schools and other appropriate organizationsEstablish and maintain a secure check-in system that protects children in our church's carePlan and oversee special events related to children and familiesIdentify and invest in current and potential next gen leaders through ongoing training and equippingRequest and administer budgets for all next gen ministriesWork with other church leadership and staff to coordinate next gen events and outreachOversee future staff directly responsible for ministries related to nursery, children, youth, and young adults
