Job Overview

Mountain View Church exists to develop Christ centered people focused on reaching our community for Him. The primary function of this church staff position is oversee and guide the spiritual development of children, youth, and young adults within Mountain View Church.

Three schools are within two miles of the church and nearly 65,000 people live in the West Cobb area where the church is located. The ideal candidate will take advantage of our strategic location to build the children's and youth ministries.

Job Description

1. Pray for Mountain View young people.
2. Exhibit Christ-like conduct and commitment to high Biblical standards in personal ministry.
3. Assist in pastoral care for families in their time of need i.e., weddings and funerals.
4. Assist senior pastor with preaching, teaching, baptisms, and outreach.
5. Administrative duties involving organizing and planning of calendar events and help with social media opportunities.
6. Provide leadership in the curriculum selection for Small Group Bible Studies (Sunday School). Provide leadership in the curriculum selection of Discipleship classes.
7. Be able to work with youth and children's leaders in planning, coordinating strategies, and creating ideas that compliment and overlap children, youth, and young adult ministries.
8. Work with pastor and ministry leaders to develop strategies for reaching the lost (outreach).
9. Help develop strategies for local, North American, and International missions and church planting (outreach).
10. Provide leadership and training for discipleship, evangelism, fellowship, worship, and ministry opportunities for next gen ministry leaders.
11. Establish meaningful personal relationships with the families of the congregation and community.
12. Develop and facilitate opportunities for fellowship within the church body (in reach).
