First Baptist Church of Tallahassee is seeking a passionate and gifted leader to serve as our NextGen Pastor, providing strategic oversight and leadership to our Preschool, Children's, Youth, College, and Young Adult Ministries (including Young Professionals and Newlyweds). This role is central to our mission of discipling the next generation and strengthening families. The NextGen Pastor will: Build relationships with and minister to children, students, young adults, and their families. Lead the heads of Preschool, Elementary, and Children's Ministries. Provide primary leadership for Youth, College, and Young Adult Ministries. Equip and develop paid staff, interns, and ministry volunteers. The NextGen Pastor will work under the supervision of the Senior Pastor and collaborate with other ministry leaders to ensure a unified, gospel-centered approach to discipleship. Qualifications A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ. Master's degree in a ministry-related field preferred. 5–10 years of experience in children, youth, and family ministries preferred. Strong organizational and management skills with proven ability to recruit, train, and develop volunteers. Effective oral and written communication skills with both children and adults. Creativity in ministry design and community outreach, with openness to new ideas and flexibility in approach. Ability to listen well, follow direction, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
