Job Description
Objectives of the Position: The Executive Director has responsibility for the management of the operations of the organization, Shiloh Center, ensuring the consistent achievement of the mission through the effective stewardship of resources, including financial, material, facility, and personnel; overseeing operations of the medical clinic and implementation of programs, services, policies and procedures; exercising supervisory responsibility of staff and Board of Directors approved budget. The primary areas of responsibility will be administrative, development, fundraising and community/public relations.
Reports to: The Board of Directors
Hours/Wages: Salaried, Exempt; Full Time; Pay commensurate with experience $60,000-80,000, limited benefits including PTO/sick leave, healthcare benefits discussed at time of offer
Supervises: All center staff and volunteers
Qualifications:
- Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and is committed to a local Bible-believing Church
- Holds a strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of all human life; expresses a sincere desire to reach the abortion vulnerable and abortion minded and would never refer or advise a woman to have an abortion
- Expresses full agreement with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle, Mission Statement, Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, and other policies of the Center
- Exhibit strong skills in management, interpersonal communication, public speaking, writing, problem solving, data analyzation and effective media relations
- Dependable, stable, and capable of following through on commitments; able to fulfill responsibilities with little or no supervision
- Shows commitment to maintaining a healthy relationship with the Board through open and honest communication; ability to respect confidentiality
- Be able to provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, encouragement and management for the staff and volunteers
- Able to represent and uphold the vision and mission of the Center in all programs, policies and procedures
- Demonstrates ability in conducting fundraising, donor development, marketing, and public relations programs
- Has acquired a college degree or relevant work experience in administration and management; preferably experience in pregnancy help centers, clinics, or non-profits
Responsibilities:
- To ensure that the Center provides compassionate and competent care for the clients served.
- To ensure that policies, procedures and budgets approved by the Board are implemented in a prompt, organized, and effective manner.
- To ensure that staff members and volunteers are utilized effectively.
- To cultivate relationships with the community and serve as the main representative to the public serving as the face and voice of the Center.
- Maintain effective communication with the Board of Directors.
- Interview, train and evaluate staff.
- Provide oversight and direction for the activities of all staff members.
- Provide or lead ongoing training for staff and volunteers throughout the year.
- Oversee the development of fundraising and marketing campaigns by writing, reviewing and revising forms, manuals, brochures, and other Center materials.
- Ensure rigorous accountability and long-term stability through conservative fiscal management of all resources.
- Implement and responsibly manage the annual budget from the Board of Directors, providing insight to the day-to-day functions of the Center.
- Effectuate and oversee all fundraising endeavors.
- Secure and maintain necessary insurances. Review policies to ensure coverage is accurate and sufficient.
- Communicate with churches, community groups, businesses, schools and individuals to build relationships, maintain existing relationships and communicate the Center's progress and needs
- Oversee the representation of the Center at conventions, fairs, conferences, and workshops throughout the year.
- Keep apprised of current events, pending legislation, and court decisions which may impact the Center's mission.
- Develop and implement new procedures; modify and streamline existing procedures to improve stewardship of all ministry resources.
- Perform other duties and assignments as instructed by the Board of Directors.
