Community Bible Church of Savannah is seeking a biblically solid and high-energy Nursery Director with a passion for raising pre-natal through four-year-olds to follow Jesus, become like Jesus, and live on mission with Jesus. This person will be responsible for the training and equipping of nursery volunteers and children to follow the mission of CBC with sound theological doctrine that aligns with the CBC Doctrinal Statement and Core Values.

This person must have a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and exhibit a meaningful and growing personal relationship with him that models the biblical standards of personal conduct and lifestyle. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to, oversee weekly and monthly scheduling of all classroom volunteers to ensure all rooms are properly staffed; equip volunteers to follow policies and procedures to ensure child safety; work with the Family Pastor and Elementary Directory to ensure consistency in curriculum, volunteer training, expectations, and ministry development; partner with the Family Pastor to equip families to disciple their children; provide ongoing spiritual care and appreciation of classroom teachers/volunteers.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities as Nursery Director

• Responsible for oversight and administration of the cbcNursery (pre-natal through 4 years old) under the direction of the Family Pastor.
• Oversee the training & implementation of curriculum and supplies within the scope and sequence of CBC family ministries.
• Teach, train, and equip nursery volunteers & children to follow the mission at CBC with sound theological doctrine, aligning with CBC's Doctrinal Statement and core values.
• Manage volunteer recruitment, vetting, onboarding, ongoing training, and development for all cbcNursery weekly and seasonal events.
• Equip all volunteers to follow cbcNursery policies and procedures, ensuring child safety as best as possible.
• Oversee the weekly and monthly scheduling of all classroom teachers/volunteers, and ensure that all volunteers fulfill their respective responsibilities.
• Ensure that all classrooms are properly staffed with volunteers and managed in a way that maintains a safe, consistent, and appropriate atmosphere.
• Work closely with the cbcElementary Director to ensure consistency in curriculum, volunteer training, expectations, and ministry development.
• Collaborate with the Family Pastor to identify and equip families in family discipleship.
• Provide ongoing spiritual care and appreciation of classroom teachers/volunteers.
• Assist other CBC ministries by providing childcare for events as needed

• Maintain an authentic walk with Jesus Christ through the ongoing spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, personal worship, fasting, confession of sin, fellowship and serving.
• Be an active member of CBC, growing in community with other believers.
• Support and adheres to the mission, core values, and church distinctives of CBC of Savannah, including the CBC of Savannah Statement of Faith.

Attend and participate in all weekly staff meetings/worship gatherings.
