Operations and HR Manager

This full-time role plays a vital leadership role in advancing the mission of Hadassah's Hope by overseeing day-to-day operations, supervising staff, coordinating outreach and volunteers, and providing strategic oversight of events and programs. This position ensures that the ministry functions smoothly, fosters team unity, and strengthens relationships with clients, partners, donors, and volunteers. Weekend work may occasionally be required.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Administration

  • Develop and refine operational policies and procedures to maximize organizational effectiveness.
  • Oversee daily administrative functions, including record keeping, reporting, and nonprofit compliance.
  • Manage budgeting processes, financial reporting, and monitor performance to identify improvements.

Staff Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor operations staff, conduct performance reviews, and cultivate a positive team environment.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and leadership team to ensure alignment across all functions.

Program & Event Oversight

  • Provide strategic oversight to events and programs, ensuring alignment with the ministry's gospel-centered, trauma-informed approach.
  • Support staff in delivering high-quality care and services.
  • Assist with outreach program development, onboarding, and volunteer training.
  • Collaborate in planning and execution of major fundraising events.

Outreach & Volunteer Coordination

  • Manage volunteer communication, applications, and engagement efforts.
  • Schedule and support volunteer leads' monthly meetings.
  • Coordinate weekly and holiday outreach gifts, ensuring volunteer teams have resources needed (ex: prayer team requests).
  • Track and record metrics in the volunteer CRM, ensuring accurate data management.
  • Participate in text outreach and foster relationships with volunteers.

Community Engagement

  • Build and nurture relationships with collaborative partners, volunteers, and clients.
  • Provide tier-one case management and intake as needed.
  • Support community programs through availability for weekly meetings and follow-ups.

Communication & Relationship Management

  • Maintain timely communication and appreciation with donors, churches, volunteers, and partners.
  • Assist in donor development and stewardship efforts.
  • Represent the ministry with professionalism and care.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Facilitate educational classes and ministry activities as needed.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings and ministry events.
  • Adapt role and responsibilities to meet evolving ministry needs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong personal commitment to Jesus and alignment with the ministry's mission.
  • Proven leadership with a track record of achieving and exceeding goals.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Calm, confident under pressure, with strong boundaries and discernment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and open to learning nonprofit systems (e.g., Donor Perfect).
  • Experience in nonprofit operations, financial management, and compliance preferred.
  • Trauma-informed approach with flexibility as the ministry grows.

Flexibility is a vital aspect of this role. There will be miscellaneous tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned to you. It will be essential that your role be viewed as being a flexible member of a team.
