Job Overview

Part-time Ministry Leader for Nursery: Provide oversight and coordinate the Nursery (birth through 3 years) on Sunday mornings part-time up to 25 hours per week. This position reports to the open Director of Children’s Ministry position. This Ministry Leader position aligns, implements, and maintains Nursery as a part of PCPC’s Children’s Ministry as well as larger overall Family Ministries vision.

Job Description

Recruit, train, and partner with teams of volunteer church members who will disciple children in a Gospel-centered ministry on Sunday mornings. Additional responsibilities include: recruit and train a robust volunteer team, educating and empower volunteers to enforce PCPC’s Abuse Awareness and Prevention Systems. Maintain a system for volunteer retention and foster a sense of community, and coordinate volunteer schedule for Sunday mornings. Ensure inviting, stimulating, secure and safe teaching areas, inclusive of gospel-centered age-appropriate curriculum and music, and sufficient supplies and equipment for all classrooms. Manage Nursery budget. College degree preferred. Three years’ experience working in Children’s Ministry or education in the field of early childhood education. Must easily connect with people from various backgrounds, ages and walks of faith, and affirm and uphold the bible and its teachings. Skilled at building relationships, communicating the Gospel to very young disciples. Strong ability for organization, follow through, and creating and implementing systems. Exercises judgement and objectivity with wisdom and discernment. Good manager of resources and can maintain confidentiality. Servant attitude and heart and PCPC membership required. This is a regular part-time (15-25 hours a week) non-exempt position (eligible for overtime).
