Job Description

Biblical preaching & teaching (2 Timothy 4:2)

• Preparation and delivery of sermons
• This includes upholding sound doctrine (Titus 1:9)
• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Expository preaching sprinkled with life application.

Shepherding the flock (1 Peter 5:2-3)

• Strong character
• Impartiality
• Public speaking
• Compassion for struggles and concerns of others.
• Ability to communicate clearly.

Leading & overseeing volunteers (1 Timothy 3:1-7)

• Cultivating an atmosphere of teamwork with everyone involved in the ministry of the church.
• Provide spiritual leadership to members of a church.
• Ensuring church facilities are functioning.

Practical ministry administration (Acts 20:28)

• Assisting in church financial matters.
• Overseeing management of all areas of the congregation's ministry.

We are a church nestled in the city of South Hill Puyallup (home to the Washington State Fair) Washington. Our congregation size (we are small but mighty) is 40-60 people, multi-generational, multiethnic warm and friendly folks. We have plenty of brick-and-mortar room to grow. We are looking for a Pastor that can have the option to be either bi-vocational or co-vocational. Annual Salary $36,000 with four weeks paid vacation.
