Job Overview

New Life Bible Church is seeking a part-time worship leader who will also be an active church member. Our goal is for this position to be discipleship-focused as much as it is music-focused. A portion of the weekly hours would be devoted to meeting with our teaching elder to go through books together and plan out upcoming weeks/months of Sunday morning worship services (i.e. songs, passages for call to worship, response/confession, and benediction). The part-time worship leader would also help lead our quarterly Friday worship nights. Our hope is for this individual to be involved beyond Sunday mornings in the life of the church. We are a small ~50 person church. There is a lot of freedom in helping develop this role and be a part of a small church plant near a major university.

Job Description

• Plan Sunday services in advance with Teaching Elder.
• Meet with Teaching Elder bi-weekly for discipleship and planning.
• Coordinate and meet with volunteers for worship
• Plan worship nights each quarter
• Organize all church music for easy accessibility for self and volunteers
• Regularly attend bible studies and church functions
• Meet with fellow church members when schedule allows
• Go through membership process
• Meet with elders each semester for encouragement and review
