Position Overview

The Part-Time Youth Pastor will develop and lead a youth ministry for students (ages 12–18), encouraging their spiritual growth and connection with Christ. This role requires a visionary leader who can multitask, collaborate within a team, follow pastoral guidance, and demonstrate independence and entrepreneurial drive to build a thriving youth program.

Key Responsibilities

• Visionary Leadership: Create and implement a clear vision for the youth ministry that aligns with the church's mission, fostering spiritual and community growth among youth.

• Program Development: Plan and lead engaging youth activities, including weekly meetings, Bible studies, service projects, retreats, and outreach events.

• Mentorship and Discipleship: Build meaningful relationships with youth, providing spiritual guidance and support to help them grow in faith and navigate challenges.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the lead pastor, staff, and volunteers to integrate the youth ministry with the church's broader goals, contributing to a supportive team environment.

• Multitasking and Organization: Manage multiple responsibilities, such as event planning, volunteer coordination, and parent communication, with strong organizational skills.

• Independent Initiative: Take ownership of the youth ministry by identifying growth opportunities, developing creative solutions, and launching innovative programs.

• Pastoral Directives: Follow the lead pastor's guidance and priorities while offering unique ideas to enhance the ministry.

• Community Engagement: Connect with local schools, organizations, and families to promote the youth ministry and create outreach opportunities.

Qualifications

• A deep personal faith in Jesus Christ and a passion for sharing the Gospel with youth.

• Theological alignment with the church's beliefs and values.

• Formal ministry training or degree preferred but not required.

• Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Visionary and entrepreneurial mindset, with a track record of initiating and leading successful programs or projects.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with youth, parents, and church leadership.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team while excelling in independent tasks.

• Comfortable receiving and implementing pastoral directives while contributing creative ideas.

• Availability to work part-time (approximately 15–20 hours per week), including evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with social media and digital tools to engage youth and promote ministry activities.

• Ability to recruit, train, and empower volunteers to support the youth ministry.
