Job Summary:The Pastor will be responsible for leading and nurturing our congregation, provide spiritual leadership and guidance to our church community. You will be responsible for preaching sermons, conducting worship services, and providing pastoral care to our members. This role requires a compassionate leader and must have demonstrated ability to effectively communicate the Word of God through a solid, biblically based teaching and preaching ministry and a passion to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. The level of commitment for this position precludes consideration of Bi-vocational pastors.

Key Responsibilities:

Preaching and Teaching:Prepare and deliver engaging sermons and Bible teachings.Provide spiritual guidance and counsel to congregation members.Pastoral Care:Offer support and counseling to individuals and families.Conduct weddings, funerals, and other ceremonies as needed.Community Presence and Engagement:Reside locally and actively participate in local events and activities.Foster relationships with local organizations and community leaders.Actively participate in the Burnt Swamp Baptist Association.Collaboration with the Deacon Board:Work closely with the Deacon Board to align church activities with our mission and values.Support and coordinate with deacons in implementing church programs and servicesLeadership and Administration:Manage and support church staff and volunteers.Assist with administrative tasks related to church operations.Manage church programs and activities, ensuring they align with our mission and values.Worship and Events:Work with church staff to plan and coordinate worship services and special events.Collaborate with worship teams and other ministry leaders to enhance the worship experience.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Theology, Ministry, or a related field.Ordained minister.5 or more years proven experience in pastoral ministry.Strong preaching, teaching, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals.Excellent organizational and administrative skills.A deep commitment to the values and mission of our church.How to Apply:
