Pastor Profile

Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton, Nevada, is seeking a full-time pastor to oversee and shepherd our church, Previous pastoral experience is desirable. We seek a man committed to sound doctrine and a Biblical understanding of the gospel, in-depth knowledge of scripture, and a firm belief in its sufficiency and authority. He should be committed to the expositional preaching of the Word of God and have a heart for evangelism and discipling others as they grow and mature in their walk with the Lord. He should be eager to help launch us into the next phase of growth as a church and shape our vision for outreach and ministries to our local community. We seek a pastor who exemplifies the qualities of a man of God as outlined in Scripture, particularly:

· 1 Timothy 3,

· Ephesians 4:4-6, 11-13, 5:25-29,

· Titus 1:6-9

Desired qualities and qualifications:

A heart for people and the equipping of the saints for ministry. Ephesians 4:11-13A vision for evangelism, missions, discipleship, and spiritual growth.In-depth knowledge of scripture.Committed to the expositional preaching of the Word of God.Committed to sound doctrine and a Biblical understanding of the Gospel.A firm belief in the authority and sufficiency of God's Word.Committed to a Biblical understanding of church membership and discipline.Previous pastoral experience is preferred with excellent references.Desired Education:

Calvary Baptist Church is in a growing community near the State Capitol, Carson City, and beautiful Lake Tahoe. You will experience all seasons in this area. We are in a region that has grown substantially over the past decade with the expansion of the technology industry. This has included a large influx of multicultural people many of whom are unreached. We aspire to proclaim Christ to those around us, to integrate new believers into our ministry and to help them grow in their faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
