Job Description:

We are seeking a pastor with spiritual maturity, reflecting the character of Christ in both his private and public life. The pastor will serve as the under-shepherd and overseer of this local church, feeding, leading and nurturing the sheep. The pastor's main responsibilities will be to communicate God's Word, minister to spiritual needs, equip the saints for the work of ministry, and provide biblical leadership for the church.

Duties and Responsibilities include: 1. Spend significant time in prayer and Bible study. 2. Proclaim the Word of God in regular church gatherings. 3. Motivate, equip and nurture the people of the church through example, preaching and teaching God's Word and spiritual counseling. 4. Lead in observance of communion and baptisms of the church. 5. Provide leadership and vision for the church. 6. Provide direction and support for the various ministries of the church. 7. Facilitate the contact/visitation of hospitalized or grieving church members. 8. Officiate at weddings and funerals. 9. Oversee church discipline and manage conflict in the church. Seek to reconcile relationships and promote unity within the church. 10. Encourage, and participate in, evangelism efforts. 11. Moderate all business meetings of the church.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Training and Experience: Biblically-based Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree (preferred)

The Qualifications: – Born-again, baptized believer who loves the Lord. – Licensed and ordained as a minister of the Gospel (or to be completed within 1 year of hire). – Meet the qualifications given in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus. – Spiritual and personal integrity and maturity. – Ability and willingness to share Christ and make disciples. – Ability to communicate well. – Proven love for the fellowship of a local church. – Ability to empathize with the deep concerns of the congregation.
